Arrival and Dismissal

Student Arrival on the First Day of School – All students will enter the building and go straight to their homeroom. Doors will open at 7:15 AM and students may enter the building. Parents of Pre-K and Kindergarten students may walk their child to their homeroom class on Friday, August 8th ONLY. All other parents drop their children off in the carport line.
Morning Arrival (Normal Operation) – Doors will open at 7:15 AM, all K-3rd car riders will enter the lunchroom (located at the back of the school) up until 7:45. Any student who arrives after 7:45 AM will need to enter the building through the front door and be accompanied by a parent. The parent will need to sign their child in, and the student will receive a tardy.
Students who get to school before 7:30 will remain in the lunchroom, and will be released by homeroom at 7:30. All students who get to school after 7:30 will report to their homeroom.
All Pre-K students will report to the side door on 33rd Street. They should not arrive before 7:30, and a parent must walk them to the door.
Afternoon Dismissal – Pre-K students and daycare riders will be dismissed at 2:45 at the side door on 33rd Street. A parent will need to walk to the door to get their child. K- 3rd car riders will be dismissed from the back of the school at the lunchroom entrance at 2:45 PM. Buses will be dismissed from the front of the school at 2:50 PM, each bus will be called individually with students leaving from their homerooms.
Car Rider Morning/Afternoon Route Information
All parents who will be dropping off and picking their child up through carport will need to follow the morning/afternoon dismissal route:
Turn off Highway 29 at the traffic light located between Bradshaw Library and Capital City Bank. Proceed down 35th Street and veer right onto 35th Place. Turn left onto 34th Street. Turn right onto 24th Street and enter the back parking lot behind the lunchroom. Exit onto 24th Street.
